Citroën TUB
A short cab with the driver at the very front, followed by a cargo area where you can stand upright and which is accessible via a sliding door on the side. This is roughly what a modern delivery van looks like. However, the concept dates back to the 1930s, when Citroën was the first to combine all these features in one model, the ingenious TUB.
Unfortunately, the Second World War brought an early end to the career of this delivery van, and the TUB did not return in peacetime. However, the concept lives on to this day in all modern delivery vans.
In this book, Thijs van der Zanden and Bouwe de Boer tell the fascinating story of the forefather of all modern light commercial vehicles. The book is bilingual (Dutch and French) and, thanks to its many illustrations, a must for the true enthusiast.
