Citroën C6
There is also a limited edition the C6-book, the Édition Lignage, intended for enthusiasts and collectors.
The C6 was to become Citroën's new flagship model, following in the tracks of the Traction, DS, CX and XM. The new top-of-the-range model had all the qualities needed to continue the tradition of large Citroëns: advanced, streamlined, prestigious and exceptionally comfortable. Even the name, which referred to the top model from the time of André Citroën, was historically appropriate.
The public was first introduced to the C6 in 1999, in the form of the Lignage concept car. It was not until 2006 that the C6 actually appeared in showrooms. Unfortunately, sales of Citroën's haut de gamme models did not take off. The C6 was (and remained) a car for connoisseurs, not for the masses.
Thijs van der Zanden, who has written several books about Citroën, tells the story of the Citroën C6 in this book. It is a fascinating history, interesting for every car enthusiast who loves Citroën, and for anyone who wants to know how a modern classic is born.
The book about the Citroën C6 will be delivered at the end of January 2026.
