Today marks exactly 50 years since the last Citroën DS rolled off the assembly line. According to a large sticker on the windscreen, this last car, a DS 23 Pallas injection électronique, was the 1,330,755th built.
It was only after the ceremony, when all the photos had already been taken, that someone discovered the number was wrong! They had forgotten to include the 124,991 cars built outside France! So in total, 1,455,746 DSs and IDs were built.
